Programmes

Our mission is to ensure the safe use of paraffin, as part of the energy mix for domestic users. We will achieve this through strategic partnerships, research and promotion of safe practices from the point of manufacture to the point of consumption of domestic energy. In order to accomplish this mission, we have divided our work into programmes that are responsible for conceptualizing and carrying out projects that bring us closer to our objective.

Safer Systems ProgrammeFire Simulation 1
This programme focuses on the system of paraffin consumption and how it can be improved in terms of safety and efficiency.

Education and Training Programme
This programme concentrates on developing and improving both the system for communicating safety messages and the resources used to aid communication and training.

Surveillance
This programme is about gathering empirical data that has both a time and spatial dimension to it so this information can be mapped and analysed to identify trends. This infomration is used to develop an evidenced based approach to our interventions. The evidence will also enable to focus our resources where they will be most effect.

Research
This programme involves accessessing information, identifying research needs, conducting or commissioning research and then applying the research findings to the other programmes and projects.
